JUST LOVE USING MY MAGNOLIA PURCHASES IN MY STAGING JOBS!  Staging is included when you list your home with Barbara Todd and Michael Valencia, Casa Bella Realty, LLC.

Back in April a group of us made our way to Waco, TX to explore the hometown of Joanna & Chip Gaines from HGTV’s Fixer Upper, and, of course, to do a little shopping at the Silos.  It was a blast!  On the first morning, we had breakfast at the Silos Baking Company.  Oh my goodness!!  It was incredible.  I couldn’t believe I was actually standing inside their bakery.  And the cupcakes, cookies, biscuits – delicious!  I believe between the 10 of us, we sampled everything on the menu because it was just too hard to pick one or two baked goods.  Good thing we did a lot of shopping to walk off those calories.

We explored the garden and the open area at the Silos, then we headed into Magnolia Market.   I was like a kid in a candy store.  There were so many beautiful things to see and buy!!  We didn’t know how we would get all those treasures home!!

The next day we had an awesome breakfast at Magnolia Table –“ Where everyone has a seat at the table”.  We got there early – like 6:30 a.m. early, but it was sure worth it!  The atmosphere, the service, the avocado toast, the coffee, the French toast, and everything was so yummy.

We didn’t get to meet Chip and Joanna but we did talk with their employees and some people who actually know them – and they all said the same thing; Joanna is just as sweet as she appears on the show, and for Chip – he is as crazy, if not even more so, in real life.    We did get to meet Jimmy Don from JDH Iron Designs – he had some interesting stories and signed our purchases.

We visited Joanna’s first shop on Bosque Blvd, The Little Shop on Bosque. It now features slightly damaged and discounted, last-chance Magnolia products.  And yes, we bought stuff there too.

We also did some shopping at Spice Village.  It’s a collection of over 60 specialty shops all under one roof.   There were so many tempting items just calling out our names, from earrings to home décor to candles to clothing.

And I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to do a little shopping in the local antique stores – even in the rain.  I found some pieces to use for staging there as well.
