3 bedrooms/3 full baths/4 level split
Redone not Rehab. Does it make a difference? We would like to think so. When the original owner of this home needed an alternate living arrangement, it was decided it was time to sell the family home. While the house has “good bones”, a great layout, was cared for, maintained, lived in and loved, cosmetically it had not been updated in quite some time. Sure, the family could have listed it and let the new buyers have the headaches of updating this home, dealing with contractors, living with the disruption of life that goes along with home improvements, but that was not the route they chose to take. They wanted the house to be move-in ready for the next family so all they needed to do was to love the home and create their own memories just like the original owner had done. So, the projects began.
The kitchen has been updated with new 42″ cabinets, granite, a beautiful back-splash, stainless steel appliances and lighting. All walls have been freshly painted. All internal doors have been replaced with 6 panel doors. New lighting, including recessed lighting has been installed throughout the house. The original wood floors throughout the living room and dining room, hallway and bedrooms have been redone. There are two full baths on the upper level. The one in the hallway has been completely updated. New tile, countertop, cabinets, toilet, faucets, shower, and a linen closet has been added. The bathroom in the owner’s suite also received a complete face lift, including all the improvement listed in the previous sentence plus it was remodeled to allow a more spacious shower.
The first lower level received a complete make-over. The paneling and z-brick wall (the original veneer brick walls that were very popular in the 70’s) were replaced with sheetrock and freshly painted. A new full bathroom was added, and new flooring was installed. What a difference these improvements have made!
The second lower level has been completely redone. Walls and the ceiling have been painted. The floors have been redone in slip resistant paint. You can use this area for storage or you can make this spacious level into additional living space.
Besides the cosmetic updates that were made to this home, new windows, doors, gutter guard, and hot water-heater have recently been installed. All electric wiring has been updated and inspected. All the above work has been completed by licensed contractors and the appropriate Baltimore County permits had been obtained.
The home contains three brand new, solar powered 4K internet based Arlo cameras – one at each door that provides 24/7 monitoring and alerts.
This home is located in a sought-after area on approximately ¾ of an acre within the new school district. The yard is level and fenced and backs to a large yard on which sits a farmhouse. There is a cement covered patio where you can sit and enjoy the peacefulness of the backyard. The outside of the home was spruced up with new shutters and landscaping.
This is “THAT” house that people are looking for!!
