This 4th floor condo is located in the Windsor at Perry Hall Farms. I met with the homeowner and suggested that certain pieces of furniture, pictures, and accent pieces be taken out and I would work with the remaining pieces. The beautiful blue area rugs, which were the owners, became my inspiration for the staging. The colors were so rich and vibrant and I instantly fell in love with them. I kept the rug in the living room but moved the rug that was in the hall and bedroom into the dining room and foyer which anchored the rooms. Speaking of anchors, I used my blue ship pictures and nautical pieces in the dining room. For the living room, the chairs and dresser were already there – I brought in the sofa and replaced the outdated wooden mirror that hung above the original sofa with a floral canvas. I then added a few accent pieces and pillows to finish the room. The table and chairs in the breakfast area/sunroom were the owners – I simply hung a scroll tapestry on the wall and carried over the blue theme when adding accent pieces to the kitchen. I told the owner to leave the furniture in the bedrooms. For the second bedroom, since the furniture was older and there wasn’t a defined color choice, I decided to make the room feel warm and welcoming using earth tones of green and orange. In the primary bedroom, I changed out the bedding, added a sofa table with accents pieces, and rearranged the chairs that were in the home making a quaint sitting area. (And the “towels” in the primary suite – well, they aren’t really towels. On staging day (which was 2 hours before the photo shot), I didn’t bring towels so I improvised using pillow shams!)
