This exquisite stone rancher is located in the prestigious historic Hampton Village. It was an emotional sale as the property had belonged to the seller’s parents. Because the home needed some updating, I primarily focused my staging to draw attention to the more impressive features of the home and property. This home was situated on 2/3 of an acre with a beautiful and peaceful backyard. The covered stone patio made for the perfect setting. I brought in an outdoor rug, some plants, patio furniture and completed the look with a children’s size table and chair. This home was also graced with a bright and inviting breezeway. Again, I staged this area with a rug, wicker furniture, and a beverage cart filled with colorful drinks. The focal point in the living room was the stunning fireplace. I brought in a sofa, chairs, and tables with the main accent color being blue. It brought the room together very nicely. A high-top corner table and accent pieces were placed in the kitchen and a seating area was staged in the family room. My client was quite impressed with how staging made such a difference. I accentuated the living room with more trending furniture and décor while keeping the vibe of the kitchen by placing the pie and a few accent pieces that I felt appropriate for an earlier time period. My client commented, “My mom always had a pie sitting on the counter.” I love when I can relate to my clients on this emotional level.
