This brick three bedroom, two full bath individual home sitting on 2.07 acres of land is nestled in a rural part of Cecil County. The trees and peacefulness of the home and property were my inspiration when staging this cozy home. Starting in the living room, I graced the charming fireplace with a few accent pieces focusing on the warmth of different shades of earthy tones of tan and brown. The outdoorsy theme was carried throughout the home by using wooden accent pieces in all the rooms. I chose the brown sofa and added two western themed pillows. The brown and tan rug played its part in bringing the room together while allowing the beauty of the newly refinished hardwood floors to be admired. Two chairs and a few tables, lamps, and family-oriented wall décor completed the feel for this room. For the eat-in kitchen, the country feel was continued by adding wall hangings that worked well with the faux fruits, vegetables, eggs, and dishes displayed on the open shelving and countertops. The primary bedroom offered a comfortable feel with the subtle blue bedding and pictures. A few towels and accent pieces in the two baths finished my task on the main floor. Moving to the open, spacious lower-level, furniture and accent pieces were incorporated enabling the buyers to visualize how the space could be used and how it could be sectioned off. A desk and chair were added in the far-right corner revealing an area for a home office. A bench, pillows, and a few pouf ottomans and rugs conveyed how the room could be used a family gathering space. Also included was a high round table and stools to envision a game room of sorts. And finally, a corner designated as a child’s reading space instilled the idea of how the kiddos could also enjoy this area. I don’t usually stage laundry rooms, however, this space was large enough and I wanted to add a few pieces to show this room off. I was pleased with how the entire house turned out, it captured the look and feel I was seeking, warm, cozy, and inviting.
