Well, it is Fall so I decided to incorporate orange, yellow, and green hues for staging this townhome. The pictures in the living room and dining room compliment each other by picking up these colors in the trees. I added a sofa and two chairs featuring the same color scheme and added two end tables, lamps and a coffee table to create an inviting area for family and friends to gather. I made a last-minute change with the pillows. Originally, I had two pillows that exactly matched the print of the chairs (which I found at Goodwill for $2.00 each – what are the chances of that, right?), but I opted to change things up a bit. The pillows I used on the sofa have the same colors and pattern of stems/branches running through the print which ties it all together but avoids being too matchy-matchy. A table and metal chairs were placed in the dining area. Dining room tables may be used for meals, but they can double for prime play space. Having the kids play in this area helps create togetherness. The eat-in kitchen is spacious, so I added a round table, chairs and a few accent pieces on the countertops. I carried the soft muted colors into the primary bedroom with one of my favorite pictures, the couple walking in the rain. There is something calming about this picture to me. I finished with the bed, a couple of tables, and a few colorful towels in the en-suite. This staging job was simple but delivers a warm and inviting feel to this home.
